Sponsorship
Every Wednesday, a curated roundup of what actually happened in email — deliverability, authentication, infrastructure, anti-abuse, and policy — lands in the inboxes of the people who build and run email.
Subscribers work in deliverability, infrastructure, and anti-abuse at ESPs, MTA vendors, security firms, and the mailbox providers themselves. This is a small, dense list: practitioners and decision-makers, not a general marketing audience. If you sell to email teams, these are the email teams.
All-time across the archive: a 60.4% open rate and a 14.9% click-to-open rate. You should discount any open rate you’re quoted — Apple Mail Privacy Protection inflates them industry-wide, and deflates click-to-open in the same motion, since the denominator fills with opens that never really happened. So here is the figure that doesn’t depend on open tracking at all: about 9% of everyone who receives an issue clicks something in it. That one is immune to MPP, and it is the number I’d judge a newsletter by. People don’t skim this list; they read it.

Runs are capped at eight issues — no one sponsor owns the newsletter. Rates increase as the audience grows; your rate is locked when you book.
One sponsor per issue. Every ad is clearly labeled SPONSORED and rendered in the newsletter's own typography — no images beyond your logo, no imitation of editorial content. I retain final say on what runs. Sponsorship never buys coverage: the stories are chosen on merit, and sponsors get no say in them.
I read every inquiry and reply within two business days.
